Trick or Treat

Wow, been awhile. A lot going on, but not a lot.... ya know?

I had my 29th b-day, did nothing, but it was nice. Tristan turned two on the 26th and we had mom and dad over for dinner and cake, pretty relaxing.

Now we are just planning our trip to Illinois for the Supernatural Convention. Can't wait!

Halloween was cold, but fun. The kids were two of the Milwaukee Brewer Racing Sausages. They were cute, but it was a HUGE amount of work to make them. They only made it an hour and a half trick or treating and then they were back, so I didn't get much in the way of chocolate. LOL and I am in DESPERATE need of it this week.

Call your caregiver with any bleeding during early pregnancy so he or she can determine if you need immediate medical attention.

I just got the notice from Amazon saying my Supernatural Season 2 Companion Guide has been shipped. Then I noticed I ordered two! Oops. I guess I will have to see about returning one. I can't wait for it to get here.

The Supernatural Official Companion - Season Two

Firstly, Thanks to Titan Publishers for sharing a review copy of the book with Supernatural.tv!

Last year, Titan brought us the very first official companion for Supernatural, and it was packed full of episode information and exciting facts. This year, could they do it again for season two? Let’s take a look behind the pages and find out…

This time around, the introduction is done by Supernatural all around guru, Rob Singer. He explains how the show evolved from season one, and how it was decided that the writers would need to take a totally different view on the second season than the first. Not wanting viewers to get bored, Singer and Co told the writers:

“Hey, congratulations everyone, you had a great first season. Now throw it all out the window. Don’t pitch us any of the episodes you would’ve pitched us in season one.”

The foreword and “Escalating Supernatural” section go on to take us through season two and how it and the characters evolved. With quotes from the likes of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kim Manners and “the Master,” Eric Kripke himself, it’s a great way to open the book.

Next up is the all-important “Episodes” section. With each episode, like last year, we get a synopsis of the plot, behind the scenes insights from cast and crew, and of course those all-important “Did You Know” facts that are simply fascinating to any avid fan. The music guide is ever-present on each page, too, if you just love to discover the titles of all those classic rock songs Dean adores so much. (With the exception of 'Hunted' which is rather strange considering their was music in it)

Oh, and if you want to try a “Purple Nurple” you can find the recipe on the Tall Tales page!

Interspersed among the episode guides are “extra” pages giving insight into such topics as “A closer look at Supernatural ghost rules,” “Crossroads Demons,” “Tricksters” and more. So, if its creature information you’re after, then it’s all here!

The companion is also full of lots of pictures to accompany each episode guide and “extra” pages, and about two thirds of the way in, there’s even a section in glorious color for the fan girls to drool over – go on, you know you want to…

Once again, the latter section of the book is taken up looking at characters through the eyes of the actors and actresses who play them. There are sections for Sam, Dean, Ellen Harvelle, Jo Harvelle, Bobby Singer, Ash, The YED, John & Mary Winchester, and last but not least the very evil Gordon Walker!

The very final segments of the book comprise of the “Meet The Crew” pages – where we indeed get to meet hair and makeup, the editors and the writers.

As well as this, there is a section on “Do You Believe?” where the likes of Ben Edlund, Chad Lindberg, Raelle Tucker and more share their thoughts with us on God and the afterlife.

Edlund offers:

“I don’t believe in a bearded God, or even a shaven God; I don’t believe in a God with a face or limbs.”

Meanwhile, Frederic Lane has a very spooky ghost story of his own to tell…but you’ll have to read the book to find that one out!

That about wraps things up, although we couldn’t go out without “22 Helpful Hints For Aspiring Monster Hunters by Dean Winchester,” could we now?

So, there we have it! If you find you’re obsessed with Supernatural and need a handy guidebook at your side 24/7, then this is the choice for you! Don’t leave home (or go ghost hunting) without it!

Ok, so on Facebook I was asked for my contact info to get more info on my 10 year class reunion coming up. Not sure if I will go though... guess it would depend on if I knew any one going. I mean, of course I know them I was in school with them forever, but people I am friends with ya know? I was picked on A LOT in school, and while most of those people are now friendly with me on the net, I have not hung out with any of them or anything. It might be really weird... what do u think flist?

Tristan is starting to walk!!! He takes a few steps then falls, but loves to try to walk on his own now. He will be off any day now, me thinks!

Anyway, I have a TON to update from Xmas and stuff, but Ky wants to make a gingerbread house, so I'll have to update later.

Weeee! I got an early gift from my grandma.... a new cell phone. The Verizon Blitz with a full slide out qwerty keyboard. We have the Verizon Prepay plan and now I can at least look like all the people at work with normal cell phones instead of my old one with no good ringtones. I have unlimited calling and text to all Verizon customers though, so I can text my friend... if u have Verizon and want my number, let me know.

A Nintendo DS Lite.... I won't get it for awhile, cuz we have money woes like too many others, but maybe with my tax return, I found a good deal on a starter bundle with 2 games. I want to find opinions on it though. I know it would be nice for all those times traveling up to the farm and the nights there when it is all but impossible for me to sleep. Any one have one or know someone who does? How do you/they like it? Any good games? I know Ky wants a Littlest Petshop and a Cars game and I want the Millionheir, Wedding Planner and Sims game.
Ideas? Comments? Opinions? Let me know... I figure I have 3 months to do my research and then I will buy it and they will have something better available. LOL

So I drove for the first time by myself yesterday. All was ok, except I passed a rode and a girl in the back (high schooler used to living in a big house, getting her way) said I missed the turn. I said "oh" since it was too late to turn and I knew I didn't miss a stop, also in my training of the route it was never taken. She stood up and said, "Oh? Yea, it's a shortcut and we will just be late, but you say Oh." I so wanted to tell her she would be lucky if she ever got home. Mom said I should have said, "I meant, oh well". I found a shirt today that says "Be Nice to Me... it's a long walk from your house to school." I sooo want it! My mom also pointed out that since I am paid by the hour, there will be no more "shortcuts". I laughed so hard!!!

My elementary kids were so cute though. They all wanted to help me. And this morning we had a "talk" and I told them I would assign seats if they didn't learn to share seats. One of the little 4K kids said, "could you work on assigning seats?" too cute. We'll see how it goes tonight.
